Pacific Hydro welcomes notice of planning decision for Prairie Solar Farm
12 December 2018
Pacific Hydro welcomes Loddon Shire Council’s resolution yesterday to issue a Notice of Decision about our planning application for Prairie Solar Farm.
“We are grateful for the broad, positive support shown so far toward the project; and appreciate the significant interest in both renewable energy technology and the potential local opportunities that this project will bring”, Pacific Hydro’s Acting Head of Australia Lily Habib said today.
“We would particularly like to thank our project neighbours, the community, stakeholders, and local and state government agencies who have been involved from a very early stage. Their feedback, local knowledge, and insights have been of immense value to this application and are key to its success” she continued.
“We would also like to acknowledge Loddon Shire Council and referral agencies for their diligent work reviewing our application and their great interest in the project” she said.
Where a planning permit is granted for a renewable energy project, the next steps typically include commissioning detailed studies for the electricity grid connection and technical requirements. Detail about project finance, construction planning/timelines, and investment decisions then follows.
Public updates about the project’s progress will be posted to Pacific Hydro’s website at www.pacifichydro.com.au on the Prairie Solar Farm page.
