Community Investment

The Taralga Wind Farm Community Fund provides financial contributions to local community projects and initiatives – such as equipment purchases, facility construction, renovation/rehabilitation projects, new programs or special funding that will enhance the community’s quality of life and wellbeing.

The Fund commenced in 2016 and is managed by a committee comprising two community representatives, two Upper Lachlan Shire Council representatives and a Pacific Hydro representative.

2019/20 Fund Recipients

Congratulations to the successful grantees for the 2019/20 funding round. The following projects will receive a combined total of $130,897.70:

  • Taralga Sports Club - Medical emergency defibrillator
  • Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care – Air conditioning units at Sunset Lodge
  • Taralga Historical Society – Concrete floor for machinery shed at Museum
  • Taralga Playgroup – Play equipment upgrade
  • Taralga Golf Club – New 55HP tractor with turf tires
  • Taralga and District Progress Association – Playgroup equipment for Goodhew Park
  • Taralga Stonequarry Cemetery – Marking 180 unmarked graves
  • Taralga 200 Committee – Taste of Taralga Festival
  • Taralga Rugby Union Club – Permanent seating
