Ararat Sustainable Communities Fund

Pacific Hydro’s Ararat Sustainable Communities Fund delivers a portion of revenue from the Challicum Hills Wind Farm back into the local community each year, for the life of the wind farm. The Fund will be accepting applications from 1 – 31 July 2018.

Since the commissioning of Challicum Hills Wind Farm in 2005, the Ararat Sustainable Communities Fund has provided more than $584,000 to over 210 local projects.

The Fund is a part of Pacific Hydro’s Community Investment Program, which has provided more than $2.7 Million to over 680 projects across Australia since 2005.

The 2018 Ararat Sustainable Communities Fund application period is now closed.

Fund Allocation Panel

All eligible Sustainable Communities Fund applications are reviewed by a fair and transparent panel. The Panels consist of a local council representative, members of the local community, and Pacific Hydro staff. This process ensures community involvement in how funds are allocated and maintains the integrity of the program.

The Fund Allocation Panel will meet on Thursday 30 August 2018 at the Ararat Visitor Information Centre.
