Time running out to apply for Sustainable Communities Fund

Community groups who want the chance to share in $50,000 from Pacific Hydro's Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund have just a couple of weeks left to get their applications in.

"We have received a couple of applications but we know there are a lot more projects out there that need funding", said Pacific Hydro Executive Manager Government and Corporate Affairs, Andrew Richards.

"If your community group has a project that requires funding in Redhill, Clements Gap, Crystal Brook or Port Broughton we encourage you to consider completing an application form."

Pacific Hydro's Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund is available each year for the life of the wind farm. The Fund is open to local groups who are working to make a positive and lasting contribution to the local area, encouraging social cohesive and sustainability of communities.

Pacific Hydro reviews applications inline with the Fund Guidelines across the areas of health, education, sport and culture taking into consideration locally identified community priorities before short listing applications.

Mr Richards encouraged those completing an application form to ask questions if they were unsure about any aspect of the form.

"Our Community Fund Coordinator Chloe Carpenter is available as a resource for community groups who may have questions about their project's eligibility or how to complete the form", he said.

"Chloe would welcome the opportunity to help out with any questions; she is contactable on 03 8621 6428".

The application period for the Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund closes on April 20.

Community groups can download an application form and the Fund guidelines at Pacific Hydro's website www.pacifichydro.com.au/fund or contact Community Fund Coordinator Chloe Carpenter on 03 8621 6428.
