Codrington/Yambuk Sustainable Communities Fund – Call for applications
13 June 2013
The $50,000 Codrington/Yambuk Sustainable Communities Fund is now open and calling for applications from community groups operating in Yambuk, Codrington, Port Fairy, Koroit and Orford.
Pacific Hydro’s General Manager for Australia, Mr Lane Crockett, encouraged community groups implementing socially and environmentally sustainable projects to submit an application before 16 July.
“The Fund is designed to support a wide range of initiatives and all local community groups and organisations who require funding should consider applying,” said Mr Crockett.
To assist community groups with the application process, Pacific Hydro is hosting a drop-in application workshop at the Port Fairy Community House on Monday 17 June between 10am and 2pm. Moyne Shire Council Grants Officer, Gerard Auld will also be available between 11am and 12noon.
“The workshops are an opportunity for community groups to run their project ideas past our Sustainable Communities Fund staff and ensure they are submitting the best possible application,” said Mr Crockett.
Applications are accepted across five funding areas: sport, art, health and safety, environment and education.
If your community group is working on a project that supports local sustainability and you’re looking for funding, why not download an application form and the Fund guidelines or contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Chloe Carpenter, on 03 8621 6428.
Applications must be received by 5pm Tuesday 16 July 2013 to be considered in this year’s round of funding.
