Applications Open for 2014 Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund
18 March 2014
The $50,000 Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund is now open and calling for applications from local community groups working in Clements Gap, Redhill, Crystal Brook, Mundoora, Wanderah, Fisherman’s Bay, and Port Broughton.
Pacific Hydro’s executive general manager for Australia, Mr Lane Crockett, encouraged community groups implementing socially and environmentally sustainable projects to submit an application before 14 April.
“The Fund is designed to support a wide range of local sustainability initiatives so I would encourage community groups and organisations that require funding to consider applying,” said Mr Crockett.
Applications are accepted across five funding areas: sport, art, health and safety, environment and education.
To assist community groups in writing grant applications, Pacific Hydro will host two drop-in information sessions in Port Broughton and Crystal Brook in early March.
“The drop-in information sessions provide an opportunity for community groups to ensure they are submitting the best possible application,” said Mr Crockett.
The first session will be held at the Port Broughton Golf Club on Tuesday 11 March between 4 and 6:30pm. The second session will be held at the Crystal Brook Gold Club on Wednesday 12 March from 10-1pm.
